I was hooked the entire time I read this book. It honestly felt like a fiction book, there were very few dull moments. The book almost got you trying to solve the mystery of the murder as it unfolded all the different characters, scenarios and twists. I’m so happy that the killer finally was captured. Spoiler alert, he received life in prison.
Few takeaways I got from the book. The killer didn’t even know the victims that well. But he was on a mission to “cure” some of the world and inflict vengeance on women as a whole because he was rejected so often. But none of the victims deserved to be killed. They didn’t even know the killer or encounter him at any point of their lives. He targeted them because they were pretty and popular in one of the Greek houses.
But it just helped me understand (a little mind) the mind of the girl. Hurt people hurt others. He was mentally struggling for so long, was a virgin and had practically no friends. But the killer was so good at pretending to be fine. But your traumas and issues aren’t just about you. If you don’t go through the healing process and seek to improve yourself, you can hurt the ones you love. I’m obviously not referring to physically hurting them. But things could have turned out so differently if Bryan took the time to find the help and support he needed.
I also really liked Steve Goncalves. He was the father of one of the girls that were killed by Bryan. I can’t even imagine the pain, anguish and utter hell he experienced. But he is the definition of a real man. The police and investigators were taking their sweet time. Meanwhile, he decided to appear on various news segments and tried to find his own evidence to find the killer.
